We really enjoyed staying here, right along the lake front. Hearing the waves on the shore while falling asleep was fantastic! The sites are a little close together and with little greenery between them, but level and clean for the most part. The abandoned pavilions along the water front trail were a little disappointing and the and decommissioned nuclear power plant next store that was in the process of being dismantled was a somewhat disconcerting, but just something you have to accept in life. We hope to return someday when the wind and waves may be up a little more to be able to enjoy the feel and sounds of the waterfront even more!

Beautiful location and views. The holiday brunch is great. The food is good and the staff is very friendly.

We camped in an RV and loved this location. We stayed in the 300's first for the 50 amp, but it is mainly a parking lot. Positives are that you can hear the waves crashing nearby, restrooms/showers are close and sites are level. Cons - too busy in that area, not as scenic. Restrooms need TLC and could be cleaned more often. We moved to the 100's to have a better view. Had 30 amp which was still fine...Could not hear the waves as good, but we had a great shady spot with not as many neighbors. We love the location, lots of things to do close by, including Chicago only 45 minutes away. Resort and conference center is within biking distance and has a bar and restaurant with great views. Site 110 was great. First come, first serve for the 100's.We would definitely stay here again.

Waves sound like the ocean. Deer galore after Dar, very quiet and peaceful in October. Nice clear hiking paths. Paths to the lakefront. Many sites allow you to see the sunrise!

Went off season and it was mostly great. Lots of deer, a great place for long walks, warm bathrooms. The showers sucked. Water varied from warm to cold. You had to press a button and the sprayer was wide and wild.
